This curriculum has been a life saver due to the pandemic. I can’t do any physical planting in the school garden or greenhouse with my students, so this has been an amazing curriculum to add for distance learning.

Journey 2050 teaches students best practices in feeding the world. Through the online game students learn about world food sustainability. A virtual simulation enables students to experience what it is like to farm and make decisions that impact society. They learn the role of best management practices in farming and how to give back to their communities.

My students really enjoyed playing the game on their ipads. When school resumed for the 20-21 school year, I found that some students had continued playing the game over the summer.

We all know that people are moving farther and farther from the farm. This video game has been a hit with my students 7-12th grade. It really brings a fun element to farming that introduces the lifestyle to new students while welcoming experienced students.
